Edgar Landherr (Ger)

....lives and works in the european Rhine Neckar metropolis of Germany.  Art magazine "ART PROFILE" The subject of the light spectra is also in the works of Edgar Landherr from central meaning. Pictures like "landscape of Rhine" at the international art fair in Salzburg was issued, looks prismatic and gives to the viewer the feeling looking in a kaleidoscope.

Born 1945 in April. He lives an works in the Metropolregion of Rhine Neckar. Early study of  fine art and intense studies of drawing, painting and graphic by growing interest of modern art. In 1984 to 1986 study of fine art painting and graphic in Mannheim. Edgar Landherrs central work is painting, graphic and drawing. Since 1972 numerous exhibitions by home and foreign countries. On the traces of the Flemish painting and old master style the artist developed in course of the years his own characteristic technique. The artist integrates this into his contemporary art. It appears monochrome works as well as full and intensiv coloured works, finely and just exactly with the brush painted or also complete roughly with the filler accents. This shows the variety of his work. Edgar Landherr says: " Once a time I studied paintning - today I paint to study."

Since his stay at Camaret sur Mer, Bretagne, in 2001 he is faszinating about Art Maritim. You still recognize some of the wracks in his paintings.

Permanent exhibition with Westermann Collection since 1985 with Uecker, Hans Berweiler, Joseph Beuys and Paul Wunderlich, Penck A.R., Hans-Peter Reuter. Several museum  in Germany. Since 1991 the owner of the collection is the city of Rastatt.
